'Halloween Havoc' by Conor Nolan

30,00

Conor is an illustrator by day and a maker of all things on the edges of illustration by night, including risograph, screen printing, painting and other bits. At the time of writing he is thinking of making a distortion pedal for an electric guitar out of wood if he can find the time. He is one half of Way Bad Press.

This print is based on the main event from the 1993 World Championship Wrestling Event 'Halloween Havoc' in which Cactus Jack and Vader fought in a Texas Death Match. This match was the culmination of a feud between the two, up to this point featuring among other points of interest, lost ears , concussions and amnesia. Frustrated with the creative direction of his character in WCW, Mick Foley (Cactus Jack) wrote of this time in his auto-biography that he had hoped to be injured so badly in this match that he could cash in on a health insurance policy and exit the world of professional wrestling. The resulting attempt at self bodily harm is a brutal, hard hitting and very memorable bought contrasting the brightly coloured larger-than-life wrestling personalities typical of the early 1990's with the brutal physicality of two of the hardest hitters of the time.
