'Bog Body' Print by Wet Bog

Wet Bog (Lu Fraser) is an interdisciplinary artist who crawled out of the primordial soup and fell deep into the peat. They create comics and zines on intersections between ecological themes and community/solidarity, with an emphasis on creating engaging and accessible conversations through stupid and slimy characters.

This print, from the zine of the same name, explores the phenomenon of bog bodies; the preservation of dead bodies that occurs in peatlands all over the world. While it’s a super creepy concept, it also allows us to look our collective pasts in the eye, and shows us how we rely on deep time to build the ecosystems we rely on so much right now.
